My Fran Love | North Alabama Photography

I don’t do weddings anymore. I keep saying it, but yet I know they keep showing up on your news feed and on the blog. I secretly wish I could shoot them and never share, but the beauty of a day does captivate me. I think maybe if I keep saying it out loud maybe I’ll believe it too? Once I had Piper, I had planned to cut back and one way was weddings. They take on so much time both on the day and afterwards, that’s time away I knew I couldn’t commit. So here’s to the lucky ones– family and friends who are near and dear to my heart. Those that I wouldn’t miss for the world.

Meet my Fran. I literally looked up some adjectives  to sprinkle in this post and none did her justice. She makes me laugh until I have tears and have to put my camera down. Her sweetness is contagious– and her Andrew, I could write a book on how he truly is perfect for her. Peas and Carrots people. Truly.

I promised her this post. I couldn’t dare disappoint. To my Fran, I loved every second of your wedding day– thank you for making me laugh, some of the funniest texts I’ve ever gotten, and letting me share in all of it! I really am sad that it’s over. Can’t wait for babies.

Mr. C One Year Session | North Alabama Children Photographer

Mr. C turned one this past month and celebrated with a Mickey Mouse birthday party– I saw some photos and it was adorable! We scheduled his cake smash and one year portraits to wrap up his amazing baby collection, but the weather had other plans. So we had a two for one deal! Cake smash one day, portraits another! Here a few of my favorite portraits of this cute man who’s constantly on the run!! Thank you for such an amazing year!! xoxo!

It’s a framer… | Organic Bloom

I have been elbow deep in designing my display wall at our studio– and I’m excited at all the frames I’ve ordered! We carry the ever so wonderful Organic Bloom Frames. And while the frames look lovely around an image there are TONS of other ways they can be used.

The Organic Bloom put together this AMAZING holiday catalog which can be viewed online here. It’s chock full of amazing images of beautifully used Organic Bloom frames for so much more than just to frame a photo. Here are a few of our favorites:

Organic Bloom Frame TreePhoto Courtesy of The Organic Bloom

I adore this mini ornament frame tree. There are so many possibilites with an idea like this, think of the color combinations and places you could use it. You could do a branch tree like above or a small Christmas tree. For the baby, I’ll definitely be doing a frame with the her Christmas photo in it for every year.

I seriously love this frame inside of a wreath. When you order your Organic Bloom frame from us you can also order a chalk board insert to go inside it. These would be great on kid’s bedroom doors, used for food labels at parties and pretty much whatever you can dream up.

It’s a great addition to any entry way and bonus, it keeps you organized.

I love the idea of putting some burlap or fabric in your Organic Bloom frame and using it to display jewelry.

The Thompsons | North Alabama Family Photographer

Four years and 3 babies ago…we met in line at an Apple store. Now here we are. I couldn’t sleep last night knowing I was writing this blog post and working on these photos… I was running words through my head over and over…How do you describe someone that advises you, listens to your problems or good days, shares dinners and laughs, and now has the advice and wisdom only mommies can give? How do you thank someone or give them enough praises for being your person to go to in business or just run an idea by? (By the way, an ocean won’t stop that one…) Even though I’m sure there hasn’t been enough dinners or lunches or playdates or photoshoots together–there are memories to be made. I can’t wait to see the moments you will capture. Your girls’ faces when they visit a European castle… Jack’s first steps and how handsome he’ll be…how amazing your business will grow and all those amazing little English bubs you’ll photograph… Thank you for the opportunities you’ve given me to watch your family grow. It has truly been an honor to capture your beauty, your happy soul, your vivacious, loving girls, your kind, special, giving husband, and your sweet, snuggly baby boy. xoxo.
